H.M. Pearson Elementary School Receives $10,000 for Chromebooks

WARRENTON, VA — Several Board of Directors members from the Fauquier Excellence in Education Foundation (FEIEF) were on hand to present a check for $10,000 to H.M. Pearson Elementary School Principal Bruce McDaniel during a meeting of Fauquier County Public Schools’ principals on February 14.

Stemming from an anonymous donor, the considerable donation is earmarked for the purchase of Chromebooks for Pearson students.

“We are extremely grateful for the donation,” McDaniel said. “We know this generosity will make a positive impact on so many of our students as they learn to make a difference, too!” He noted that Pearson Elementary, located in Catlett, will gear these much-needed tools specifically toward first-grade students.

“We anticipate the Chromebooks becoming an important part of our students’ daily routine, primarily with their educational programs, practicing and reviewing skills, and reading and math assessments,” McDaniel added. “This will allow our students to develop additional technology skills and become excited learners. It’s truly an investment in the future of these young students.”
