Scott brings a wealth of expertise to her role as general manager, with a track record of excellence in various leadership positions. Her career highlights include 12 years with Kimpton Hotels, with eight of those years serving as general manager at both Valor Hospitality’s Kimpton Banneker in Washington, D.C., and Kimpton Topaz Hotel in Washington, D.C. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to deliver exceptional guest services, optimize financial performance, and foster high-performing teams.
During her time at Valor Hospitality, Scott oversaw all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring superior guest services and key performance indicator achievements. Notably, Scott successfully project managed the renovation and repositioning of a 144-key hotel with two restaurants, demonstrating her proficiency in critical path processes, communicating with contractors, and purchasing oversight. Her collaborative approach with marketing teams resulted in the implementation of departmental sales plans that drove continuous revenue generation and exceptional financial results. Scott’s commitment to mentorship and professional development was evident in her training of management teams and conducting onboarding processes and new hire orientations.

Prior to her appointment at Goodstone Inn, Scott served as assistant general manager at Hotel Monaco of Alexandria, where she oversaw hotel operations, managed employee performance, and optimized revenue through efficient occupancy management. Scott’s career journey also includes valuable experience in district management, front office management, human resources, and housekeeping within Kimpton and other prominent hospitality organizations. She holds a degree in hotel, restaurant, and institutional management from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and possesses an impressive array of proficiencies in various systems and software.
