The fair will be held at the State Arboretum at Blandy Experimental Farm May 9-10, rain or shine.
BOYCE, VA — The Shenandoah Potters Guild will present a pottery show and sale during the 36th annual Garden Fair at the State Arboretum at Blandy Experimental Farm during Mother’s Day weekend, May 9-10, 2026, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, rain or shine. On display and available for purchase will be unique works created by members of the guild and geared to the sensibilities of all types of gardeners, including handmade flower pots, birdhouses, birdbaths, garden decorations, and many more garden-themed and functional pieces! While each potter uses the same basic materials, the range of their works differs widely, showing the art, skill, and creativity of each artist.
The Garden Fair is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the Foundation of the State Arboretum, the nonprofit that supports Blandy Experimental Farm and the Arboretum’s varied collections and public education programs. Across Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren, and Loudoun counties and far beyond, 8,000 to 10,000 people attend this Mother’s Day weekend tradition hosted on the beautiful grounds of the State Arboretum of Virginia, located in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley. More than 60 vendors from across the state participate each year to offer the best selection of native plants, annuals, perennials, herbs, trees, shrubs, garden tools, crafts, pottery, and more, along with food, music, and special treats for the kids!
Blandy is located at 400 Farm Lane in Boyce, Virginia. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit blandy.virginia.edu.
