LTR Expands Community Programming with “Bloom Where You Are Planted” Initiative

LOVETTSVILLE, VA — As part of its ongoing commitment to increasing community engagement, Loudoun Therapeutic Riding (LTR) is launching a series of new workshops designed to help individuals enhance personal wellness and tend to their “inner garden.” In today’s demanding world, taking the time to slow down, reflect, and reconnect is more important than ever. These workshops are hosted by engaging and inspiring facilitators LTR is excited to partner with — and plans to continue collaborating with for future offerings.

In addition to wellness workshops for individuals, LTR is introducing a new program specifically tailored for businesses and nonprofit leaders to foster team-building and leadership development. No horse experience is necessary. All sessions are unmounted and conducted on the ground, facilitated by trained equine specialists in mental health and learning.

New Workshops for Individuals:

These insightful workshops will offer participants the opportunity for light-hearted self-discovery and meaningful connection with LTR horses.

  • HeartMath with Horses will be offered on Wednesday, August 27, from 3 to 6 p.m. in LTR’s classroom. Chris Walton — an expert on HeartMath, LTR board member, and former president — will host this event and share the science behind the HeartMath modality. Participants will learn how to become more heart-centered in daily life, with or without horses. RSVP to emmalay@ltrf.org or call (703) 771-2689 by August 22 | COST: $70

“We each have a magnetic field that radiates from our heart. Something magical happens when this field intersects with that of a horse.” –Chris Walton

  • Wine, Nine, and Whinnies will be offered on Friday, September 19, from 3 to 6 p.m. in LTR’s classroom. Life coach Dee Ann Jeremiah of “Imagine Life Coaching” will lead this enneagram workshop, exploring each participant’s unique personality type and how it may interact with others — including horses. RSVP to emmalay@ltrf.org or call (703) 771-2689 by September 17 | COST: $70
New Program for Businesses and Nonprofit Leaders:
  • Leading in Loudoun is a half-day program that can be paired with an afternoon of service for an insightful and purposeful day out of the office to team-build with coworkers. LTR’s professional staff will guide participants in equine-assisted learning activities designed to reflect on leadership strengths including cultivating empathy, listening, and connection. It promises to be a unique experience that you and your staff will be reflecting on long after your time at the barn.
