The 96th Running of the Virginia Gold Cup Races was held on Saturday, May 29th, 2021, in The Plains, Virginia, at Great Meadows. While the limited crowd size may have made things feel different from prior years, the energy and excitement were unmatched as fans cheered on in one of the area’s first in-person events after a long, challenging year of social distancing with little to no human interactions.
