Sir Peter Crane, president of the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, and Dr. John Kress, author and curator emeritus at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, will give an overview of Kress’ new book, “Smithsonian Trees of North America.” The duo will discuss how the text marries science and art to provide an insightful and compassionate exploration of the diversity, structure, form, and beauty of trees.
