2020 Sprout Virtual 5K

The Sprout 5k is a long standing FUNdrisier for Sprout Therapeutic Riding & Education Center and we could not let COVID put a damper on this great tradition. The purpose of this great event is to raise funds for Sprout Therapeutic Riding and Education Center, a Loudoun-based non-profit organization that provides therapeutic equine activities for individuals with special needs.

Where: Anywhere you want! You get to pick your course to walk or run! 

When: Run or Walk anytime between November 1 – 8, then log back into your registration account and log your results. 

Registration Fees:  5k: $30, $20 for students (21 & Under), 1k: $20.                                                                                                                          

Packet Pick-up: Sprout’s miniature horse, Lucky, is so excited to greet runners at the farm this year for “Pony Packet Pick-up!” Come out to Sprout Therapeutic Riding & Education Center (40685 John Mosby Hwy, Aldie VA 20105) to grab your swag and snag a photo with our pony ambassador of fun, on Saturday, October 31 from 10am to 3pm. 

Registrants will receive a commemorative race shirt and custom bib. You must register by Otober 15 to be guaranteed as shirt. 

Any registrations after Saturday, October 31 at noon will have their items shipped. 

About Sprout Therapeutic Riding and Education Center

The Sprout 5k is being held to raise funds and awareness for Sprout Therapeutic & Education Riding Center in Aldie, Virginia. Sprout is a non-profit (501(c)3) organization that offers high-quality programming that meets the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of individuals with a wide variety of diagnoses to include Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Delay and Traumatic Brain Injuries, just to name a few.  Participants live throughout Northern Virginia – Loudoun, Fairfax, Fauquier and Prince William counties. Sprout currently serves over 750 individuals per year with the devoted support of over 200 volunteers.  Through this work, Sprout was recognized a Loudoun County Public Schools “Preferred Business Partner,” and the 2016 “Program Recipient of 2016 Recognition for Excellence in Supporting Special Education.” Sprout has also been recognized as a “Best of the Best” Equine Facility in Loudoun County. 

All proceeds from the Sprout 5k will allow the organization continue to provide quality services to clients with special needs, scholarships to families with financial needs, facility support and daily care of therapy horses.
